Svendsgaard's Danish Lodge Americas Best Value Inn

My family and I stayed at this hotel on December 2019 and I wanted to say how wonderful it is. The rooms are great and the breakfast they provide was very delicious! Pastries were delicious and fresh! I am not a coffee person but their coffee was delicious! I wonder what coffee they use to purchase. Everybody was very welcoming and hotel environment made our Christmas season beautiful! I love how all Solvang hotels have decorations like the Christnas movies!

This a quaint & charming old school hotel. You can tell it's very dated with actual keys and a big key chain which adds to the charm of this place. It's located on the Eastside of town and it gives you opportunity to walk the main streeet and back. You get to experience all of Solvang in 1 visit. Very clean and quiet even when we stayed on the first floor and had access to the pool and jacuzzi. I will most likely stay here when I come for the Christmas festivities.

This hotel was located in a nice area close to all the shops and restaurants in Solvang. Service was okay, and rooms had an option of a second room if you are with your kids. Cleanliness was okay I just wish their curtains blocked out more of the room, you could see into the rooms when you walked through them.

This is our favorite place to stay. Have stayed here since about 1969. It's centrally located...leave your car in the parking lot & walk to most of the shops & restaurants. Though the rooms are older they are clean & have all of the amenities...there are also a variety of types & sizes to choose from. Danish pastries & coffee in the lobby every morning. Chomps, great places to eat AND get coffee/baked goods, are right across the street. I would say to call Svendsgaards directly for their best prices.

Hotel is definitely older and needs to be updated but nice size rooms. Staff is friendly and it's on the main street close to everything.

I give the 5 stars for this hotel for this rate. I have a road trip for 24 days in the USA. Many hotels at this rate is not good at this hotel. The location is in the village. I arrived here about 10 pm at night they have the staff in the lobby. He was great manners and described all I need to knowing. The room is clean, bathtub is clean. Hot water very fast. They have a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker for 4 cups. The bed is comfortable.

The room was nice but the door had a big gap at the bottom of it and as I was sitting looking at it there were bugs walking under the door so I had to put the towel at the bottom of the door to stop them. When I got up this morning there were 9 big black bugs like beetles in the towel.

It’s the least expensive hotel during the week in Solvang. Great powerful Jacuzzi. The staff is very friendly. The beds are very comfortable. Some of the rooms have two sinks. Ask at the front desk and they will upgrade you if available. They serve Danish pastries for breakfast fresh.
